Best Entrepreneur of the Year – 2014 in the field of mechanical engineering, instrument making and metalworking in the Udmurt Republic

On 21 July 2015 award ceremony of winners of the Best Entrepreneur of the Year – 2014 competition took place in the Udmurt Republic. 13 entrepreneurs and companies were named the best in their fields.

It was difficult for the Commission of experts to choose the winners. They took into account those organizations which could develop their business, extend the production, increase range of products, offer new services, and earn an appreciation from consumers and partners in 2014. For every winner the recognition on the republican level will be not only an important point in portfolio but also an incentive to further development. The competition history indicates it: many winners of the previous years are now among region’s large enterprises.

OOO “NPO “Gidrosistemy” company took the Best Entrepreneur in the field of mechanical engineering, instrument making and metalworking nomination for the second time. For the first time the company received Shunde-Mumy (Mother of the Sun) statuette in 2013.

The competition was organized with the support of the Head of the Udmurt Republic Alexander Soloviev. Opening the award ceremony he mentioned the big role of the small and medium-sized business entities in the region’s development.

The Best Entrepreneur of the Year competition has been held in the Udmurt Republic since 1997. Around 1 000 organizations participated in the competition and more than 250 of them received awards. Participants of the competition have numerous opportunities for the all-round development so far as today in Udmurtia more than 54 000 entrepreneurs had been already registered (76 % of the all business units). Moreover almost 1/4 of the employed population works in business field.
